09

i decided to delete all my blogs (again) because i sort of forgot about this thing and i wanted to start fresh i guess.

09 is coming to an end and it's been a pretty bland year, if i'm being quite honest. i'm going to do one of those really cheesy recount of my year but i guess it gives me some sense of closure and a welcoming for a new year.

HBP, Brand New's 'Daisy', Death cab for cutie @ the enmore, discovery of nandos, my ipod :3 and rewatching curb snuggled under my blankets were all pretty much the highlights of my year. The anticipation in waiting for both the HBP and Daisy kept me going for most of 09 and both left me highly pleased with the outcome.

However the let downs of 09 outweight if not equal the more pleasant aspects of the year. The shorter-the-better fashion phase that seems to have swept every retail outlet in Australia, losing friends, losing interesting in friends, the pile of shit that was Animal Collective and Manchester Orchestra being 18+ were just some of the downfalls of 09 and here's hoping the new year rocks harder than this one.
